Tigger, a 21-year-old male cat, was abandoned by his owner at a nearby veterinary clinic late in his life. He couldn’t explain why and felt sad and confused. But then Adriene Nicole came along. After reading his story on the Canton Neighbors website, she decided to take him home. He needed love and she wanted to give it to him.
Unfortunately, Nicole soon learned that Tigger had a golf ball-sized tumor and kidney failure. Nicole said, “Even though he has kidney failure and we discovered a tumor, he kicks it like he’s 12 years old, which doesn’t stop him. We made a list of weird adventures for Tiger’s bucket list,” she wrote on Facebook.
“While it may not be much for others, every little trip outside is a blast for him because he loves being outside…the beach is his favorite so far,” she explained. “Most importantly, Tiger’s story shows how wonderful it is to adopt an aging pet and give him his best days left! He changed our hearts forever and we hope he will change the hearts of others when it comes to adopting older pets!”
At the end of his life, Tigger, a 21-year-old cat, was abandoned by his human.
